We aim to manage personal information consistently with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) where they apply.

1. Personal Information We Collect

The personal information we collect will depend on how you interact with us and may include:

  • your name;
  • company or organisation;
  • position or job title;
  • email address;
  • telephone number;
  • Masterclass registration and attendance details;

  • information about how you heard about C-Suite Insurance Academy;
  • correspondence, enquiries and feedback you provide to us; and
  • technical information generated when you use our website, such as IP address, browser or device information and website usage information.

We only collect information that is reasonably necessary for our business activities.

2. Dietary and Other Sensitive Information

You may choose to provide dietary requirements when registering for a Masterclass.

Some dietary information may reveal health, religious or other information that may be regarded as sensitive information under Australian privacy law.

By voluntarily providing this information, you consent to us using and, where necessary, sharing it with the relevant venue or catering provider for the purpose of meeting your dietary requirements.

Please provide only the information necessary for us to accommodate your requirements.

We may also receive your details where another person or organisation registers you for a Masterclass or contacts us on your behalf.

4. Why We Collect and Use Personal Information

We may collect, hold and use personal information to:

  • process and manage Masterclass registrations;

  • comply with legal, regulatory and taxation requirements.

We will not use your personal information for an unrelated purpose unless permitted or required by law or you have consented to that use.

5. Masterclass Bookings and Amelia

Our online booking system uses Amelia, a WordPress booking plugin.

Information you enter into an Amelia booking form is stored within the C-Suite Insurance Academy website’s WordPress database and is used to administer your registration and attendance.

Depending on the information required for a particular booking, this may include your name, company, job title, contact details, dietary requirements and other registration information.

6. Payments and Stripe

Online payments are processed through Stripe via the Amelia booking system.

When you make an online payment, Stripe collects and processes the payment and transaction information required to complete the transaction.

C-Suite Insurance Academy does not intentionally collect or store your full payment card details on its own systems. Payment information is handled by Stripe in accordance with Stripe’s own privacy and security practices.

Stripe may process personal information in Australia and in other countries as part of its global payment infrastructure.

7. Disclosure to Service Providers

We may disclose personal information where reasonably necessary to service providers who assist us in operating C-Suite Insurance Academy, including:

  • website hosting and technology providers;
  • payment processors;
  • accounting and administration providers;
  • venues and catering providers;
  • email and communications providers;
  • professional advisers; and
  • other suppliers involved in delivering our Masterclasses.

We only provide information that is reasonably necessary for the relevant service.

We may also disclose personal information where required or authorised by law.

We do not sell personal information.

8. Overseas Processing and Disclosure

Some technology and payment service providers we use operate internationally.

As a result, personal information may be processed or stored outside Australia, including by Stripe and its related entities and service providers.

The countries involved may vary depending on the services used. Stripe advises that personal information may be processed internationally, including in countries such as Ireland and the United States.

Where Australian privacy law applies to an overseas disclosure, we will take reasonable steps required by law in relation to that disclosure.

9. Direct Marketing

We may occasionally use your contact details to send you information about upcoming Masterclasses, Academy programs or related activities that we reasonably believe may be relevant to you.

Where required, we will only send marketing communications with your consent or where otherwise permitted by law.

You may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe facility provided or by contacting us.

Administrative communications relating to an existing booking are not marketing communications and may still be sent where necessary.

10. Cookies and Website Information

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to help the website function, understand website usage and improve the visitor experience.

You can generally control or disable cookies through your browser settings, although doing so may affect the operation of some website functions.

11. Storage and Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

Personal information may be stored electronically through our website, booking system, email, accounting systems and other business systems used to operate C-Suite Insurance Academy.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we hold.

No internet-based system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

12. Retention of Personal Information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required for legal, accounting, taxation or business record-keeping purposes.

When personal information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to delete, destroy or de-identify it where appropriate.

13. Accessing or Correcting Your Information

You may request access to personal information we hold about you or ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.

Please contact us using the details below.

We may need to verify your identity before providing access or making a correction.

We will review your concern and aim to respond within a reasonable period.

If the Privacy Act applies to the matter and you remain dissatisfied after raising the issue with us, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our business practices, technology or legal obligations.

The current version will be published on the C-Suite Insurance Academy website with the date it was last updated.
